I took a beginner's lesson in Astoria last year. I was actually so excited to start and really wanted to learn how to play tennis. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a really disheartening experience for me. Since I was a beginner, it took me some time to grasp the coach's explanations and get the movements right. But instead of guiding me, the coach kept raising his voice and yelling at me whenever I didn't get it right away. Being shouted at in front of the other students was incredibly embarrassing, and it completely took away all my excitement and motivation for the sport. I just don't think yelling at someone who is trying to learn is the right way to teach. A year has passed, but I still remember how upsetting it felt. I just wanted to share my experience here.

I started taking tennis lessons with Protennislesson in Astoria Park since last May, and it’s been an absolutely amazing experience. The lessons are top-notch, especially with Coach Mladen. I’ve had both private and group lessons with him, and he’s fantastic. In private sessions, he’s really attentive, tailoring the drills to what I need to improve in my game. And the group classes are a blast—so fun! I’ve met so many new people, and now I have a group of friends I regularly play with. Plus, the prices are really reasonable compared to other tennis schools in the city. If you’re looking to improve your game or just have fun and meet other players, I can’t recommend them enough! Looking forward to the new season!

Mladen was fantastic, we are both very beginners and took a semi private lesson. He perfectly explained proper technique, helped adjust our mistakes and ensured we were comfortable before moving on. It was super fun and we fully recommend.

Mladen was a great coach. I saw immediate results in all facets of my game, and improved in both match play and rallying. Would highly recommend and he will be my go-to coach whenever possible!!

I booked a private tennis lesson with Mladen and it was a very easy booking process. Mladen broke down my techniques and gave me thorough advice for improving my strokes. He is very friendly, patient, and meticulous. He’s also had a lot of professional experience playing and studying sport, so he’s also a wealth of tennis knowledge to take advantage of. Really enjoyed my lesson with Mladen and already planning to come back for lessons this summer
